About Us

Genesis of Nanhi Pari

Beauty pageants are one of the most exciting events. It involves giving a platform and opportunity to young women to showcase not only their physical appearance, but also their intellect, presence, style, glamour and charisma. The dearth of organizations or regulatory bodies, which could nurture and advance young talents in our region, led a group of motivated entrepreneurs to evolve the idea of hosting a talent show every year for the young females and the result was "Nanhi Pari" - a talent show for teenage girls. From a humble start in the year 2001 in a remote and small tribal town of Keonjhar District of Odisha, the event has progressively taken rapid strides and has now become a national event of repute. Patronized by the great visionary, social activist, educationist, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT (www.kiit.ac.in) & KISS (www.kiss.ac.in), the event become a national event since 2004. The entire management of the event was passed on to KIIT Group of Institutions and KIIT University with effect from 2015 edition of the event.
